Your choice

Optional measurement stays off until you choose “Allow anonymous counts”. Choose “No thanks” to read the same content and use the Amazon link without sending our measurement events. Change your choice using “Measurement choices” at the foot of any book page.

A preference cookie called mc_measurement remembers allow or deny for 180 days. It contains no identifier. It is used only to respect your choice. Clearing this cookie resets the choice.

What we count

If you agree, we count page loads and clicks on our Amazon book link. Our database stores only the UTC date, platform label, chapter number, event type and running total. We do not store your name, email, IP address, full URL, device identifier or browser fingerprint in that database.

The public links contain chapter and platform labels such as Facebook or LinkedIn. They identify the campaign, not the individual. We do not send our measurement records to Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok or Amazon, and we do not add advertising pixels.

What the numbers cannot tell us

These are counts from consenting browsers, not unique people. Reloads and repeat clicks can add counts. Bots, blocked requests and dropped connections may affect totals. A click to Amazon does not prove a purchase, and we cannot see your Amazon order through this page.

Storage and service providers

Aggregate campaign totals are kept for comparison across the life of this book campaign. As they have no visitor identifiers, we cannot find or delete a particular visitor’s count. Declining measurement prevents future events from your browser.

This page is hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting providers process network information needed to deliver and secure the service under their own arrangements. Signing in to the private campaign report uses OpenAI authentication. The report is restricted to the authorised owner.
